Sutton Bay is a remote private club on the bluffs above Lake Oahe in central South Dakota. The current par-72 Graham Marsh layout, rebuilt after a landslide forced relocation of the original routing, plays firm and fast across native short-grass prairie with fescue fairways that release aggressively. Holes tumble along ridgelines with long views over the Missouri River reservoir, and the constant plains wind means the same hole can require a wedge one day and a hybrid the next. The club is walking-friendly and caddie-oriented, with on-site lodging for members and guests, and a short season running roughly from April into October.
