Designed in 1962 by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and later modernised by Rees Jones, Hazeltine National is a par-72 layout built around Lake Hazeltine. It has hosted two U.S. Opens, three PGA Championships and the 2016 Ryder Cup, with another Ryder Cup scheduled for 2029. The long, exposed layout plays firm in summer wind. Access is limited to members and their guests.
