Belgrade Lakes Golf Club is a Clive Clark design built into a granite hillside above Great Pond in central Maine. The par-71 course was blasted and shaped through exposed ledge and glacial boulders, leaving holes framed by rock outcrops, birch, and pine, with several tees offering long views over the Belgrade chain of lakes. Elevation change is constant, and the firm fescue-influenced fairways can bound well past the landing zone if the tee shot is misjudged. It plays under 6,800 yards but demands careful positioning rather than length. The course is public, walkable with caddies available, and open roughly from May through mid-October.
