Spirit Hollow Golf Course occupies wooded ridge and valley land in southeast Iowa near Burlington, close to the Mississippi River. The Rick Jacobson design plays to a par of 72 over more than 7,100 yards, with holes routed one at a time through hardwood corridors and dramatic drops from elevated tees. Bentgrass fairways and greens are kept firm, and the wide fairway corridors give room off the tee before approach shots must carry ridges and bunker complexes. It has hosted numerous state and regional championships. The course is public with on-site lodging cottages, a practice range, and clubhouse dining, and it typically operates from April into November.
