Rookery South in Milton is one of the strongest public tests in southern Delaware, laid out over former farmland a short drive from the Cape Region beaches. The par-72 course stretches past 7,100 yards with broad, gently contoured fairways, extensive fescue-framed waste areas, and ponds that guard several green complexes. With little tree cover, the coastal breeze is the main defense and can turn short par fours into long two-shotters. Greens are large bentgrass surfaces with subtle tiers that reward approach shots played to the correct section. The facility is fully public with a driving range, clubhouse restaurant, and near year-round play in the mild Delaware climate.
