The Broadmoor's original course was designed by Donald Ross in 1918 in the Cheyenne Mountain foothills, later expanded and revised by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Jack Nicklaus into three nines. The East Course has hosted the U.S. Amateur, U.S. Senior Open and the 2011 U.S. Women's Open. Sitting above 6,000 feet, putts famously break toward the plains. Open to resort guests and members.
