Founded in 1922 and designed by William Flynn, Cherry Hills is a par-71 course south of Denver that hosted the 1938, 1960 and 1978 U.S. Opens as well as PGA Championships and the 2005 U.S. Women's Open. Arnold Palmer's famous final-round charge in 1960 began by driving the first green here. It is private, accessible only to members and their guests.
